Warehouse Lighting in IKEA |

I went to IKEA last week. And I found the lighting in the warehouse of IKEA is very interesting. So that I took a picture. Let's take a look.
The width of the road way is like 4 meters, and the height is like 10 to 11 meters. It's amazing to see that IKEA only uses the fluorescent tube. One reflector fixture, one tube. It's like a 6 foot tube. The color is like 4100K. Maybe you will think it's warm white. Actually it's because of my Camera problem.
The reflector is rectangular. It can reflect most of the light to the 4 meters widh road way from 11 meters height. It's not very bright as a classroom. But it's bright enough for the customer to read the label on the shelf.
This remind me some warehouse projects I have ever done before. It looks like the width of the warehouse and the height for this kind of warehouse is an international standard. This kind project only need to illuminate the 4 meters width road way. And they often use 400 W HID. The gap between two lights is 4.5 meters to 6.5 meters. The owner of the warehouse often asks for 150 lux to 200 lux on the floor. If we only want to use 100W high bay for this kind of project, the beam angle for the high bay should be very small, like 45 degree. Or sometimes we need to use up to 150W LED high bay with a right angle.
The owner of the warehouse often will be very happy to see to LED high bay. It's hopefully no need to replace the light in 5 years and save a lot of energy. If the LED high bay is high quality enough.
